Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 3, 2026

Blair Meehan Speaking Coach ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you visit our website or engage with our services. By using our website, you consent to the practices described below.

1. Information We Collect

  • Personal Information: When you submit a contact form or book a session via Cal.com, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, and any additional details you provide.
  • Usage Data: We collect non-personal information about how you interact with our website, such as your IP address, browser type, and pages visited, through cookies and analytics tools.
  • Booking Data: Information provided during scheduling via Cal.com, such as session preferences, is processed by Cal.com and shared with us to support your coaching.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Respond to your inquiries and provide customer support.
  • Schedule and manage coaching sessions booked through Cal.com.
  • Improve our website and services through analytics.
  • Send you our newsletter, if you opt in — see section 4 (unsubscribe at any time).
  • Comply with legal obligations.

3. How We Store and Protect Your Information

Website content is managed in Sanity, our website is hosted on Vercel, and email is sent and our newsletter list is held by Resend. All three are established cloud providers using encryption in transit and at rest with access controls. We take reasonable measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. However, no online system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

4. Newsletter Subscriptions

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we process the following on the lawful basis of your consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)):

  • What we collect: your email address, your first name if you choose to give it, and consent metadata — the date and time you subscribed, the page you subscribed from, the version of the consent wording you agreed to, and a one-way hashed form of your IP address. We do not store your raw IP address.
  • How consent is given: we use confirmed (double) opt-in. You tick a box that is never pre-ticked, and then click a confirmation link we email to you. Nothing is stored until you click that link. If you never confirm, your address is never added to any list and we do not contact you again.
  • Who processes it: Resend (Resend Inc., United States) acts as our processor — it stores the subscriber list and delivers the emails. International transfers are covered by Resend's standard data processing terms.
  • Audit record: we keep a record that a subscription was requested, confirmed, or withdrawn, so we can demonstrate that consent was validly obtained. This record is held in Resend and in our analytics tool.
  • Retention: we keep your details until you unsubscribe. After you unsubscribe we retain a minimal suppression record so that we do not accidentally add you again. We also remove subscribers who have not opened an email in 24 months.
  • How to withdraw: every newsletter email contains a one-click unsubscribe link — no login, no questions. You can also email us using the contact details at the end of this policy. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it, and does not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out beforehand.
  • Erasure: unsubscribing stops the emails; if you would also like your record deleted entirely, just ask and we will remove it.

We do not sell, rent, or share your email address, and we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling.

5. Third-Party Services

We use third-party services that may process your data, including:

  • Cal.com: Handles booking data. Please review Cal.com’s privacy policy.
  • Resend: Delivers our transactional email (such as contact form messages) and stores our newsletter subscriber list. Please review Resend's privacy policy.
  • Analytics Tools: We use PostHog to understand website usage, including newsletter subscription events. Visitors who do not accept cookies are measured anonymously in a cookieless mode that stores no data on your device. This tool has its own privacy policy.

These services are carefully selected to ensure they align with our privacy standards.

6. Cookies

Our website uses cookies to enhance your experience and analyze usage. Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use essential cookies for functionality. Analytics run in an anonymous, cookieless mode by default — no data is stored on your device — and only when you accept via our cookie consent popup do we set analytics cookies for a personalised experience, as required by GDPR. You can adjust your browser settings to disable cookies, but this may affect website functionality.

7. Your Rights

Under GDPR and other privacy laws, you have the right to:

  • Access, correct, or delete your personal information.
  • Opt out of marketing communications.
  • Request data portability.
  • Restrict or object to certain data processing.

To exercise these rights, contact us at the details below. We will respond within 30 days.

8. Children's Privacy

Our website is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we become aware of such data, we will delete it.
